WELCOME to the Cleveland Clinic Academy!

 

The Cleveland Clinic Academy (CCA) was launched in September 2006 with the vision to offer professional development learning opportunities to Cleveland Clinic employees on main campus and at our regional facilities.

 

The leadership development curriculum of Cleveland Clinic offers a broad spectrum of courses in leadership, education and business for Clinic staff, academics, nurses, medical students, and administrators, including, but not limited to the following course:

Location: CCAC, Building #1, 3rd Floor, Classroom #2

 

 

This course will focus on innovation in healthcare and medicine.  Participants will engage in a participatory session that emphasizes how to think innovatively and how to actually implement an innovative idea at the Cleveland Clinic.

Growth in Academy Course Attendance & Offerings 

 

Since October of 2006, 951 Staff, nurses and administrators have attended Academy courses. The 2008 attendance data does not include October through December 2008 - another 16 courses.

 

  • 220 course attendees in 2006
  • 318 course attendees in 2007
  • 616 course attendees thus far in 2008

 

In addition, course offerings have continued to grow. Clinic employees interested in developing leadership and management competencies have many course offerings to select from when creating their professional development plans.

The mission of the Cleveland Clinic Academy aligns with Cleveland Clinic's goals of: “Better care of the sick, investigation of their problems and further education of those who serve!” The Academy is committed to supporting and enhancing the leadership, business and academic development of staff physicians, academics, nurses, and administrators that is needed to realize the mission of Cleveland Clinic.
