OFFICE OF PROFESSIONAL STAFF AFFAIRS (OPSA) LEADERSHIP ROTATION

Having begun in 2006, the OPSA Leadership Rotation is a 4-5 week program intended to introduce a small group (< 8) nominated Cleveland Clinic Staff to Clinic leaders and their activities. As part of the Clinic’s strategy to develop bench depth in leadership, the goals of the course are to: introduce high-potential Clinic Staff to leaders; to familiarize them with the training, preparation, and work of Clinic leadership; to engage Staff, and to promote networking among Staff. The sessions consist of a series of 1-2 hour informal meetings with Clinic leaders during which the leaders discuss their role, their stories of becoming leaders, their scope of activities and responsibilities, and the culture of leading at the Cleveland Clinic. The full-day sessions usually occur once weekly for 4-5 weeks and the Leadership Rotation is offered 3 times yearly.

Please contact James K. Stoller, M.D., M.S. for more information about the program.
